The TOV
Style Edit
Four expressive pieces, selected for the rooms where they feel most at home—through a Japanese eye for proportion, texture and restraint.
THE EDITOR’S NOTE
Choose the room that understands the piece.
Good styling begins before the furniture enters the room. It begins by recognizing the visual language already present in the object.
TOV Furniture moves easily between sculptural curves, romantic detail, graphic contrast and stone-like weight. Rather than asking one statement piece to adapt to every aesthetic, this edit pairs four distinctive products with four interiors that share their character.
The rooms do not need to look Japanese. The Japanese perspective lies in the editing: respecting proportion, allowing material to speak and knowing when the composition has enough.
The right object does not need to be subdued. It needs a room that understands its language.
01
QUIET JAPANESE MODERN
Lightness, shaped by texture.
Lauretta Cream Performance Fabric and Natural Rattan Accent Chair
Lauretta replaces visual weight with an open, tactile rhythm. Natural rattan brings warmth and lightness, while the low cream performance-linen cushion keeps the palette quiet. Against pale plaster, oak and charcoal timber, the contrast comes from weave, line and negative space.
- Form
- Low, open and softly rounded
- Material
- Cream performance linen and natural rattan
- Balance
- Woven warmth within a restrained palette

NEW TRADITIONAL
Romance, edited.
Pamela Tasseled Lounge Accent Chair
Pamela’s ruched frame and full fringe have a distinctly romantic vocabulary. Faded blue keeps those details light, while clean paneling, fluted walnut and a quietly patterned rug bring the silhouette into the present.
- Form
- Rounded, enveloping and softly tailored
- Material
- Faded blue recycled performance fabric
- Balance
- Decorative detail against simplified architecture

PLAYFUL MODERN
Color with a clear rhythm.
Jolene Performance Velvet Accent Chair
A black cylindrical back, cream seat and slim frame give Jolene the clarity of a graphic mark. That strong geometry can stand beside cobalt, tomato red and abstract art without allowing the room to become chaotic.
- Form
- Compact, linear and deliberately graphic
- Material
- Black and cream performance velvet
- Balance
- Bold color organized by black-and-cream contrast

SOFT ORGANIC
Weight within softness.
Patrizia 36″ Faux Travertine Round Coffee Table
Patrizia’s round top and three sculptural supports give pale tactile materials a grounded center. Its stone-like surface adds visual weight, while the circular form continues the room’s softer architectural lines.
- Form
- Round, substantial and softly architectural
- Material
- Concrete with a warm faux-travertine finish
- Balance
- A grounded center among linen, plaster and wool

Three questions before adding a statement piece.
Does the form belong?
Repeat one line already present in the room—a curve, a low horizon or a crisp vertical.
What texture is missing?
Use the piece to supply contrast: softness against timber, weight against linen or sheen against plaster.
What can be removed?
Give a distinctive object enough space. The final edit is often subtraction, not another accessory.
